Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin hosted a private dinner, we hear, at his new New York pad in support of Pennsylvania Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf.
Guests at the meeting included Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Kevin Hart, Philly rappers Meek Mill and Freeway, 76ers star Joel Embiid, CNN’s Van Jones, former Giants star Tiki Barber, Clara Tsai and Steve Stoute.
Said a source, “Wolf has been instrumental in leading the charge to fix the criminal justice system in Pennsylvania and around the country. He and Rubin spoke about efforts to continue to help fix the system.”
Meek’s been in a legal war in Philadelphia over a controversial case involving his probation from a charge that the city’s district attorney has said should be overturned.
Page Six reported in July that Rubin snapped up a penthouse at Ian Schrager’s 160 Leroy St. for $43 million.
Meanwhile, Jones also attended the first R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players event last week to honor Meek.
